| The Television and Radio
Consultative Scheme (formerly the Television Viewing
Advisory Scheme) was introduced in 1982.
Through this scheme, the Television and Entertainment
Licensing Authority is provided with a continuous
flow of public opinions on television and radio programming
and is kept abreast of the community's perception
of the broadcasting standards.
Members join the scheme on a voluntary basis. They
are appointed for a two-year period. Members are recruited
to form a mix that mirrors the population profile
of Hong Kong by age, sex and occupation from different
districts in Hong Kong. They will participate in focus
group meetings to have in-depth discussions on different
issues related to broadcasting.
The total membership of the scheme is maintained at
about 540.
To join the Television
and Radio Consultative Scheme
